This is where the magic happens!
A wet belt sander keeps the edges crisp and clean.
It takes a lot of patience to coldwork with loose grit when finishing a drop vessel.
Sometimes simple tools are the best. A candle flame is all that was needed to break the score on this thick glass.
I quickly learned that proper lighting is essential to capture the colors and brilliant shine of my pieces.

The Flow of Glass ... the Combination of Transparent and Opaque Colors ... The Possibilities are Endless.

It all started when my daughter gave me a fused glass dish one year for Christmas. There was just something about the brilliant colors - and that shine! I was mesmerized. I've always had a creative outlet, and now it was clearly going to be all about glass. I learned the basics at a local studio, and then researched more advanced techniques. Before long, I purchased a glass kiln and set up a home studio. After many years of fusing, I now design and create contemporary home accents and holiday items.
